Rayo Vallecano midfielder Michu is understood to be undergoing a medical at Swansea ahead of a move to the Liberty Stadium.
Swansea agreed a fee with the Spanish club earlier this week for Michu and the 26-year-old has now arrived in South Wales for talks and a medical.
A number of clubs have been linked with a move for a player who impressed in La Liga last season, scoring 15 goals for Vallecano.
New Swansea boss Michael Laudrup is a big admirer of Michu and is keen to push through a deal for the playmaker.
Michu is expected to sign a three-year deal at Swansea and will become the club's third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Jonathan de Guzman and Chico.
