Riders join Eagles at the top

The Leicester Riders moved level with Newcastle Eagles at the top of the BBL Championship after thrashing the third-placed Surrey Heat 88-58.

Anthony Rowe led Leicester with a game-high 18 points plus nine rebounds and two assists as the Riders joined Newcastle on 30 points with their 15th victory in 17 games this season.

Durham remain in the bottom two after the Worcester Wolves, having trailed by 12 at half-time, staged a fightback to beat the Wildcats 98-91, while the Glasgow Rocks saw off the Sheffield Sharks 85-65 in today's other match.
