Riders return to top spot

Leicester Riders edged out Sheffield Sharks after double overtime as they returned to the top of the British Basketball League.

The teams were locked at 60-all and then 66-66 before Riders dug into their reserves to secure a 75-69 victory.

Rashad Hassan led all-scorers with 22 for Riders as they went top, level on points with Worcester Wolves while Sharks are third.

Plymouth University Raiders beat Glasgow Rocks 89-83 with Matt Pressey and Trevor Setty both scoring 21 points for the victors.

Brent Benson scored 27 points but still finished on the losing side as Birmingham Knights went down 89-71 to Cheshire Phoenix.

Knights are still winless this campaign and without a point after 15 games.
