Riders stay perfect

Leicester Riders moved up to second in the BBL Championship courtesy of an 89-83 victory over London Lions.

The Riders were trailing 45-37 at half-time but they outscored their opponents 32-15 in the third quarter and they held on to maintain their 100 per cent winning record after three games of the new season.

Jay Cousinard led the way for Leicester with 28 points while fellow American John Fraley poured in 23.

In tonight's other game, Mersey Tigers slumped to their third successive defeat - 98-48 against Worcester Wolves.
