River open to Lanzini sale

River Plate president Rodolfo D'Onofrio has hinted that he is open to selling his team's prized asset Manuel Lanzini.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has been in impressive form for the past two years and is regarded as one of the most promising young players in South America.

Italian club Lazio have been linked with a move for the Argentine in the summer and are reported to be willing to offer as much as 9million for him.

Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested in the youngster, but D'Onofrio has insisted that he has not been approached by any club.

However, the River president has admitted that he will "analyse" all offers for the player.

"We still haven't received anything from Lazio and nor from any other team," he told reporters.

"We only heard what is being said in the press. Of course, we are going to analyse an offer if it comes in.

"However, we are also going to listen to what the player wants to do."
