Rizeena among eight in Mile
Moyglare Stud Stakes heroine Rizeena is the star name among eight fillies declared for the Fillies' Mile on Friday.
Clive Brittain's stable star burst onto the Pattern-race scene with a brilliant display in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot and following a couple of excellent runs in defeat, she grabbed Group One glory at the Curragh earlier this month.
Rizeena now tackles a mile for the first time at Headquarters and faces a number of new challengers.
The most dangerous opponent looks to be Saeed bin Suroor's Ihtimal, who has earned a step up to the highest level by winning the Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket and the May Hill Stakes at Doncaster.
The Godolphin team have an interesting second string in the Charlie Appleby-trained Sound Reflection, who won a Newmarket maiden before following up on the Kempton all-weather and now takes a huge step up in class after being supplemented.
Godolphin have won the last three renewals of the contest.
Paul Deegan's Avenue Gabriel denied the Pat Fahy-trained Ballybacka Queen by a neck in a Curragh Listed event just under a fortnight ago and the pair travel from Ireland to renew rivalries on Friday.
They are joined on the trip across the Irish Sea by Aidan O'Brien's Wonderfully, who finished sixth in the Moyglare.
The field is completed by Charlie Hills' Chriselliam and David Simcock's Goodwood maiden winner Uchenna.
