Rock seal victory on the road

The Glasgow Rocks moved two points clear in fifth place in the BBL Championship with a 92-82 victory away to the Manchester Giants.

The contest was close throughout with the Rocks only four points ahead at 67-63 at the end of the third quarter but they managed to put a bit of breathing space between them and their hosts at the end.

Rocks' Sterling Davis was the top scorer with 22.

The Sheffield Sharks leapfrogged the Giants with a 99-64 victory over the Mersey Tigers, who have now lost all 17 of their BBL matches this season, just two years after they won the title.

The south Yorkshire side were always in control, leading 32-11 at the end of the first period and they dominated throughout.

Demetrius Jemison led all-scorers with 22 points.

Cheshire Phoenix came from six points down entering the final quarter to record an 88-87 win at the the London Lions.

The Lions' Tayo Ogedengbe was the game's top scorer with 28.
