Roi Du Mee took the feature Holden Pant Rentals Chase at Tramore under a positive ride from Davy Russell.
Despite just four runners going to post, there was no hanging about as the the free-running Ordinary Man took them along at a decent pace.
Russell allowed the even money favourite to sit in behind the leader for the first circuit before asking him to go on as they headed to the far side of the racecourse.
A blunder at the second last could have handed the initiative to the staying on Tranquil Sea,but the eight-year-old found more when asked to do so and comfortably landed his fourth race of the season.
"I'm mad about him. We tried to up him in class last year but he wasn't able for it. He is very good at this level," said Russell.
"He loves the conditions and he is a real trier. He jumps well but when he meets one wrong you just have to sit quiet and he'll figure it out for himself."
It was a second winner of the afternoon for Russell who also scored on Charles Byrnes' Milborough in the Waterford And Tramore Supporters Club Maiden Hurdle.
