Ross bosses rivals

A review of the rest of the action from Sunday afternoon's feature card from Navan.

Dylan Ross (5/4 favourite) made it third time lucky over fences with a smooth victory in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase for Noel Meade and Paul Carberry.

Meade said: "He jumped well. He's very athletic and he was given the perfect ride.

"He'll be entered for St Stephen's Day at Leopardstown. He mixed it with real good horses last year so there's no reason why he shouldn't again if he jumps well."

Bryan Cooper partnered hot favourite Our Conor to win the Follow Navan Racecourse Facebook 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle and the jockey was to later secure a double courtesy of 7/1 shot Ballyfinboy in the St Johann Ski Resort Tirol Austria Handicap Hurdle.

Ted Walsh's Champagne James (15/8) made an impressive debut in the concluding bumper under a cool ride from Robbie McNamara.
