Ross County v Partick preview

Defender Aaron Muirhead could bolster Alan Archibald's Partick Thistle squad for the Scottish Premiership game against Ross County on Saturday.

Muirhead missed the 3-1 home victory over Aberdeen last week after struggling with a knock.

Long-term absentees Isaac Osbourne (ankle) and Sean Welsh (groin) remain absent for the Jags who won 3-1 at Victoria Park back in August before drawing 3-3 in their home clash with County in January.

Thistle moved out of the relegation play-off place with their surprise win over the Dons - their first home league victory of the season - and assistant manager Scott Paterson is looking for another three points in Dingwall.

"Obviously it helps when you get that monkey off your back but the boys have been good in training and spirits have always been high," Paterson said.

"But the boys have got to take confidence from the performance on Saturday, and the few games before that. The form has been good."

Ross County forward Melvin De Leeuw may make his first start in a while against the Jags.

The Dutchman has been used sparingly since recovering from a knee injury but boss Derek Adams could be tempted to utilise him from the off this weekend.

Adams has no new injury problems to deal with.
