Royal Ascot on Moviesta agenda

Moviesta remains on course for a trip to Royal Ascot with trainer Bryan Smart confident his star sprinter can bounce back to form.

The four-year-old looked destined for the top of the sprinting ranks after winning last year's King George Stakes at Glorious Goodwood and he made an encouraging return to action when fifth in the Palace House at Newmarket.

He trailed home well-beaten in the Duke of York Stakes on his most recent appearance, but Smart is keen to put that disappointing showing down to the testing Knavesmire conditions.

"He looks fantastic and seems in great form, so we'll just have to hope we get some better ground for the rest of the year," said the trainer.

"The ground was tacky and horrible at York and he didn't handle it at all. The race also probably came a bit quick for him after Newmarket.

"He'll head for Royal Ascot now, all being well. He's in both races (King's Stand and Diamond Jubilee Stakes) and we'll decide which way to go nearer the time."
