Russell set to leave hospital

Jockey Davy Russell said he hopes to be released from hospital on Monday after suffering a punctured lung at the Cheltenham Festival.

The rider took a crashing fall from Un Beau Matin at the final flight of the Coral Cup on Wednesday.

Russell was taken to Cheltenham General Hospital for further treatment but on Sunday evening issued an upbeat bulletin.

He tweeted: "Great news, it looks like I will be able to leave hospital in morning - lung has fully inflated again."
