Saints set for record crowd

Southampton will set a club-record attendance at St Mary's this weekend as they aim to seal promotion to the Premier League against Coventry.

Saints have sold over 32,300 tickets for Saturday's visit of Coventry, breaking the previous record of 32,152 set against West Ham in October.

It will be the second time this season they have set a new record, with the previous highest attendance at St Mary's coming against Arsenal in 2003 when 32,151 supporters were present.

Nigel Adkins' side will clinch a return to the top flight of English football after a seven-year absence should they beat the Sky Blues, while a draw or even defeat could also be enough depending on West Ham's result at home to Hull.
