Samoa claim Four Nations spot

A hat-trick from Penani Manumaleali'i helped Samoa on their way to a 32-16 win over Fiji and a place in this year's Four Nations tournament.

Carlos Tuimavave and Daniel Vidot also crossed for the Samoans, while Krisnan Inu converted all five tries and a penalty to top up their tally.

Fiji managed three tries in reply from Kevin Naiqama, James Storer and Lote Tuqiri, who also kicked two conversions, but were ultimately outmuscled by their opponents, who had Sam Tagataese sent off late in the match for an apparent head-butt.

Samoa will now join Australia, New Zealand and England in the Four Nations, taking on Steve McNamara's men in their opening match on October 25.
