Sampdoria have announced that Sunday night's Serie A game against Inter Milan has been postponed by the request of the local council due to heavy rainfall which is forecast for the evening.
Heavy snow is also expected to fall and due to the location of the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, Genoa council decided the game could not go ahead.
Inter are fifth in the table four points off city rivals AC Milan, who are third and occupy the final Champions League place, while Sampdoria are 11th.
No new date has been arranged for the fixture.
