Scobbie accepts two-game ban
St Johnstone defender Tam Scobbie will miss their next two games after the club decided not to contest the notice of complaint which was issued after last weekend's head-butting incident in their 3-3 draw against Hearts.
The Scottish Football Association issued a notice of complaint for 'attempting to headbutt an opposing player', namely Brad McKay, after viewing footage of a mass brawl following Hearts second goal.
As a result, the defender will now miss next week's Premiership match against Dundee United at Tannadice and the League Cup semi-final against Aberdeen.
The incident was missed by referee Brian Colvin and Scobbie completed the game in goal after home keeper Allan Mannus saw red for his part in the brawl along with Hearts forward Ryan Stevenson.
Scobbie had been cited under Rule 200 which states: No player shall commit offences in the Schedule of Offences in Annex C. (Such offences may be dealt with by a Fast Track Tribunal following a Compliance Officer Reference under the Judicial Panel Protocol).
