Newcastle's jumps meeting on FRiday afternoon must pass a second inspection at 10am.
Although the track had a slight dusting of snow this morning, there is no frost in the ground.
However, clerk of the course James Armstrong must check again after an 8am precautionary inspection proved inconclusive.
Armstrong nonetheless said he was "optimistic" the fixture would be given the go-ahead.
