Sharp Ebor plans in limbo
No decision has yet been made whether leading fancy Well Sharp will contest next week's Betfred Ebor at York.
Jonjo O'Neill's five-year-old is close to the head of the betting for the valuable handicap after winning the Ascot Stakes.
In action over hurdles last year, O'Neill switched Well Sharp back to the Flat this season to fine effect, as he also bolted up on the Knavesmire at the Dante meeting.
Frank Berry, racing manager for owner JP McManus, said: "We're not sure at the moment - he needs to do a bit of work later this week and we'll see how he is.
"He is a couple of options at York, there's the Ebor and a race on Friday.
"We'll see how he is, and if the ground is suitable as he needs some cut."
The gelded son of Selkirk has entries in the Gain Irish St Leger and Qipco British Champions Long Distance Cup later in the season.
