Sheff Wed v C Palace preview

Dave Jones is hoping to have a fully-fit squad available as Sheffield Wednesday welcome Crystal Palace to Hillsborough.

The Owls are on a six-match unbeaten run in the league and sit two points clear of the relegation places.

But Palace have already ended an unbeaten run of theirs this season. The 2-1 win at Selhurst Park in September ended Wednesday's 19-game run, that had stretched back to February 2012.

Jones expects to have a full squad at his disposal as they look to avoid a repeat, though he did admit that "three or four" of his players were struggling with knocks and would be assessed ahead of the game as a precaution.

Defender Reda Johnson could return to the squad after overcoming an ankle problem that has seen him miss the last three games.

Crystal Palace will check on Jonny Williams ahead of the trip to the Owls.

Midfielder Williams came off during the second half of Tuesday night's 2-1 win over Bristol City with a sore muscle but should be available.

Boss Ian Holloway also substituted winger Wilfried Zaha after he took "a couple of knocks" but he too is expected to be fine.

However, Palace still have a lengthy injury list with skipper Paddy McCarthy (groin) a long-term absentee and fellow defenders Joel Ward (groin) and Danny Gabbidon (hamstring) still struggling.

Midfielders Owen Garvan (knee), Andre Moritz (ankle) and Alex Nimely (hamstring) are also on the injured list.

Stephen Dobbie may have earned a start up front after his goalscoring cameo in midweek.
