Amir Khan's return fight in the United Kingdom has been confirmed for Sheffield's 12,000-capacity Motorpoint Arena on April 27.
The former world champion will meet tough Mexican Julio Diaz in his first bout on English soil since his controversial win over Paul McCloskey.
The Bolton fighter took on Northern Ireland's McCloskey in Manchester in April 2011 and had a difficult night's work before winning via a sixth-round technical decision following a cut suffered by the challenger.
Light-welterweight Khan's last fight was a one-sided stoppage of over-matched Carlos Molina in Los Angeles in December in his first outing since successive defeats to Lamont Peterson and Danny Garcia.
Diaz has a record of 40-7-1 (29 KO wins) without proving himself against elite opposition, but is confident of causing a shock.
"There are a lot weaknesses," Diaz told the Sun. "He can't take a punch and when he gets overwhelmed he tends to panic too much.
"I aim to make it a brawl. I won't be too technical or too pretty but it will be a real fight."
Khan's promoters, Golden Boy, are branching out in the UK and will stage the show with London 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Anthony Ogogo and Khan's brother Haroon making their professional debuts on the undercard.
