Kenny Shiels says Kilmarnock can take inspiration from their League Cup success over Celtic ahead of Saturday's trip to Parkhead.
Killie have not won at Celtic Park since December 1955, but broke a 55-year jinx by beating the Hoops at Hampden Park last March.
Shiels admits Celtic are only 'tiptoeing' through the SPL but believes his side can pull off a shock result.
"I wasn't even born the last time Kilmarnock won at Parkhead so let's not say any more on that," said the Kilmarnock boss.
"It's been a long time and it will be good to try to do something about that. We've set a few records during my time at Kilmarnock.
"We beat Celtic last season in the League Cup final; that was Kilmarnock's first win over them in Glasgow since a cup victory in 1957.
"But 1955 was the last time Kilmarnock beat Celtic in the league in Glasgow.
"You can keep using that as a motivation but it doesn't always work. However, if we get back to performing well then I'd be happy that we can achieve something from the game."
Shiels says his players are keen to atone for last weekend's 2-1 defeat to St Johnstone and climb into the top six.
"We had a meeting about how we played on Saturday," he revealed.
"St Johnstone were very good but we were also poor. This is a chance for us to learn and improve."
