Shrewsbury add to backroom staff
Shrewsbury have confirmed that Simon Haworth has been added to the club's coaching staff.
The former Cardiff forward, who also had spells with Coventry, Wigan and Tranmere, scored 90 times in nearly 250 appearances during his playing career and will be working on a voluntary basis to coach the Shrews' forwards.
"I believe (being a striker) is specialist position and it is an area that I believe if we do a bit extra work and work a bit harder to get that quality we can score a few more goals," boss Micky Mellon told the club's official website.
"Hopefully it will pay dividends."
