Shrewsbury v Port Vale preview
Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Shrewsbury and Port Vale at New Meadow (kick-off 1pm).
Shrewsbury will assess Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, Luke Summerfield and Aaron Wildig ahead of their home clash against neighbours Port Vale.
On-loan winger Mendez-Laing missed last weekend's 2-0 defeat at Sheffield United due to a hamstring injury and is the most likely to return.
Summerfield also sat out due to a recurrence of a thigh injury which had kept him sidelined for a month, while fellow midfielder Wildig has not featured at all since mid-January due to a similar problem.
Shrews, second bottom in League One and four points from safety, are eyeing what would only be a second victory in 12 matches when they entertain Vale.
Micky Adams could name an unchanged team for Port Vale's trip to Shrewsbury.
The Vale boss was rewarded for a number of bold selections on Tuesday night as his side ended a run of three defeats with a 2-0 victory over Colchester.
Jack Grimmer, fresh from extending his deal from Fulham until the end of the season, was partnered by Joe Davis in central defence, with experienced Chris Robertson missing out, and they combined to keep a clean sheet.
The young defensive duo should retain their places, meaning Robertson will continue on the bench alongside Jennison Myrie-Williams, Billy Knott and Gavin Tomlin, who also dropped out against United.
