Morecambe have completed the signing of former Rotherham and Preston forward Chris Holroyd until the end of the season.
Holroyd was released by North End on January 5 and could make his Shrimps debut against Cheltenham in League Two on Friday night, providing the Globe Arena passes a 10am pitch inspection.
The 26-year-old makes Morecambe the ninth club of his career after scoring nine goals in 21 appearances for Blue Square Bet Premier outfit Macclesfield this term.
