Sidwell: No offer as yet

Steve Sidwell admits to being in the dark when it comes to his Fulham future, with no contract offer tabled as yet.

The 31-midfielder is among those at Craven Cottage set to become a free agent in the summer.

With relegation out of the Premier League having been confirmed, there are expected to be plenty of changes at Fulham.

Decisions have to be taken on who to keep and who to release, and talks need to be opened quickly if key men are to be retained.

Sidwell has admitted that he would be open to discussing fresh terms but, having snubbed a 12-month extension in November, concedes that he is unsure where he will be playing next season.

He told talkSPORT: "I've told the football club at the end of last year I wanted to sign another deal.

"I wanted to stay here, I love the club.

"I told them at the end of last season I wanted to stay. We tried to sit down in pre-season and talk but it wasn't very good.

"In January, I reiterated that I wanted to sign and they have just brushed that away. Maybe that has shown the club's cards on that front.

"We'll have to wait and see if the football club want to keep me."
