Slade targets return to winning ways

Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade will draw on their win over Hartlepool for inspiration as they look to bounce back from defeat on Tuesday.

The O's were narrowly edged out by Oldham last weekend and Slade hopes for a response similar to that against Pools, which came after another frustrating loss to Bournemouth earlier this month.

"It's been one of the traits, being able to bounce back," he told the club's official website ahead of their midweek tie against Colchester. "We always get a response and again that's what we're craving.

"We're all finding it a little bit frustrating at the moment, and until we can find that consistency all we can do is show a reaction in games.

"We have to do exactly what we did against Hartlepool when we had 20-something shots, of which 10 or 11 were on target.

"Wherever we are we want to win football matches, but any club will always feel they have an advantage at home. We want to put that into use and make sure we get one over our local rivals."
