Saturday's meeting at Haydock - due to feature the Peter Marsh Chase - has been abandoned due to snow.
Clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright was due to inspect the track at 8.30am but with an inch of snow already on the ground and more forecast, he has made an early call.
He said: "We have had abandoned. We have to be realistic, we are white over now and could not race.
"This isn't as much as we are expecting, it's just an opening shot and there's no point in deluding ourselves."
