Southampton v Stoke preview

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino is set to be handed a boost for Saturday's visit of Stoke, with midfielder Victor Wanyama expected to return to action.

Wanyama picked up a knock in last weekend's 3-0 victory over Fulham. However, Callum Chambers is set to miss the game with a dead leg which he also picked up last time out.

The Argentine boss will certainly be without Dejan Lovren and Gaston Ramirez, who are long-term absentees with ankle injuries.

Mark Hughes will give late fitness tests to both Marko Arnautovic and Jonathan Walters, after they both picked up knocks in last week's victory over Manchester United.

Stephen Nzonzi is available again after serving a one-match ban for his red card against Sunderland.

Marc Wilson is a doubt after he missed training this week with a chest infection. Hughes is unlikely to risk Matthew Etherington after his return from a calf injury.
