Spaniards through in Copa Claro
Spaniards David Ferrer and Tommy Robredo eased into the semi-finals of the Copa Claro in Buenos Aires.
Top seed Ferrer lost just three games as he beat another compatriot, Albert Ramos, 6-1 6-2.
He raced through the first set in clinical fashion, converting both break points he created while not facing one on his own serve.
And while he was made to work a little harder in the second set, the result was never in doubt.
Third seed Robredo, meanwhile, was 6-1 2-0 up when Robin Haase was forced to retire.
He will next face Italian second seed Fabio Fognini, who beat another Spaniard, Pablo Andujar, 6-4 6-3.
In the late match of the night, the Spanish dominance continued as Nicolas Almagro saw off Jeremy Chardy 7-6 (9/7) 6-4.
