Chesterfield have terminated the contract of defender Terrell Forbes by mutual consent.
Forbes joined the Spireites on a free transfer from Leyton Orient in the summer and has made 21 appearances in all competitions this season.
The 31-year-old was placed on the transfer list by manager Paul Cook at the start of January.
Forbes is the third player to leave the Proact Stadium this month following the exits of striker Craig Westcarr and winger Luis Boa Morte.
