Sprinter may gallop at Kempton
Nicky Henderson may have to shuffle options for Sprinter Sacre, after the weather prevented him from working on the gallops.
"It was frustrating yesterday," he said from Kempton on Sunday, where he saddled two winners including Stan James Champion Hurdle fancy My Tent Or Yours.
"We were thinking of coming here and even jumping a few fences next weekend but on the ground I don't think we'll be jumping anything.
"We could wait a week as there's a whole team, a dozen-odd horses, that have been kept back for better ground going to come here to have a spin round on the on the all-weather.
"Sprinter could do that, as could Bobs Worth and Triolo D'Alene."
Meanwhile, Henderson is awaiting the handicapper's reaction to Hunt Ball's British reappearance as he considers Cheltenham Festival options for his new recruit.
After an astounding rise through the ranks in two seasons for Keiran Burke, the gelding was purchased by an American syndicate but proved a disaster in four outings Stateside last summer.
Hunt Ball returned to Britain and finished a distant but respectable third behind Captain Chris in Saturday's Betfair Ascot Chase.
Henderson gave him a Crabbie's Grand National entry and said: "He ran a great race and hopefully he'll get into one of the handicaps.
"It's now six races since he last won at Taunton and he's got to be coming back to a handicap mark.
"Otherwise you've got to run him in the Ryanair, which he can't possibly win."
