Spurr extends Blackburn stay
Tommy Spurr has signed a 12-month contract extension at Blackburn which will keep him at Ewood Park until the summer of 2016.
The left-back has enjoyed a successful first season with Rovers, making 45 appearances for Gary Bowyer's men.
The 26-year-old was third in the Players' Player of the Year vote and admits he has thrived in his surroundings this term.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed my first season with the club and I'm delighted to extend my contract by a further year," Spurr said.
"When the opportunity arose to come to such a big club like Blackburn and play with the calibre of players that are here, I jumped at it and I think it has helped me personally in my performances.
"I'm just glad to have played as many games as I have and I will keep working hard to try and have another consistent campaign next year, when hopefully we can make a real push for promotion."
