Sri Lanka wrap up victory

Sri Lanka made short work of wrapping up victory on day five of the second and final Test against Pakistan in Colombo.

The tourists had resumed play on 127-7, chasing 271 for victory, however they were dismissed for 165 before lunch at the Sinhalese Sports Club - handing former Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene a winning farewell.

The 37-year-old was appearing in his last Test match, although he will continue to play one-day matches until next year's World Cup.

Sarfraz Ahmed and Wahab Riaz had threatened briefly to frustrate Sri Lanka as they put on 29 for the eighth wicket.

However Ahmed's resistance was ended for 55 when he was caught by Kumar Sangakkara at deep square leg off Chanaka Welegedara.

Riaz followed for 17, becoming left-arm spinner Rangana Herath's fifth wicket of the innings, to seal the win for Sri Lanka as Junaid Khan was unable to bat due to injury.

Herath, who took nine wickets in the first innings, finished with 5-57.
