St Johnstone v Hibs preview

St Johnstone boss Steve Lomas will assess the fitness of Nigel Hasselbaink before naming his side to face Hibernian at McDiarmid Park on Wednesday evening.

The striker will undergo a late fitness test after a leg knock forced him out of the 2-1 win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park last Saturday.

And Lomas must take on the Edinburgh outfit without the services of Kevin Moon, Jamie Adams and Peter Pawlett, who remain on the sidelines.

Hibernian counterpart Pat Fenlon must shuffle his defence with captain James McPake and Tim Clancy ruled out.

McPake has a back injury while Clancy has undergone a minor operation on a troublesome groin injury but could be fit to return in two or three weeks. Gary Deegan (jaw) remains out.

Northern Ireland international McPake is also doubtful for Sunday's Scottish Cup fourth round clash with Hearts, in a replay of the final at Hampden last May which the Jambos won 5-1.
