Stars back to winning ways
Elite League leaders Dundee Stars bounced back from last week's defeat to Coventry by edging out Hull Stingrays 2-1.
The Scottish side suffered their second defeat of the season last Sunday, but goals from Jerry Pollastrone and Brock McPherson gave them victory, with Jereme Tendler pulling back a late goal for Hull.
Belfast Giants kept the pressure on the Stars with a 4-1 win over Cardiff Devils.
Kevin Saurette, Jeffrey Szwez, Robby Sandrock and Calvin Elfring all netted for the Northern Irish side, with Mac Faulkner levelling for the Devils at the end of the first period before they were blown away thereafter.
David Clarke, Bob Wren, Robert Lachowicz and Matt Ryan were all on target as Nottingham ran out 4-2 winners over Brahead Clan, who scored through Nathan Moon and Scott Aarssen.
