Steelers sink Capitals

Sheffield Steelers strengthened their grip on second place in the Elite League with a 3-2 win at Edinburgh Capitals on Sunday.

The Capitals, the league's bottom side, were on course for a surprise win as they led 2-1 with 12 minutes left to play, but the Steelers rallied to post their fifth straight win as goals from Shawn Limpright and Steven Goertzen secured the points.

In the day's other games, Cardiff Devils eased to a 5-2 win over Coventry Blaze, while Hull Stingrays eased their jitters at the wrong end of the standings as they registered a battling 6-4 win over Braehead Clan.
