Steelers too good for Coventry

Sheffield ran in five unanswered first-period goals on their way to a 6-4 win over Coventry in the Elite League on Sunday.

The Steelers got off to a flying start, Max Lacroix on target twice as Coventry left themselves too much ground to make up.

Carl Lauzon also netted twice in the first period, but his Hull side slipped to a 6-4 defeat to Nottingham.

In Sunday's other match Cardiff won 2-1 at Edinburgh.
