Stewart keen on Charlton stay

Cameron Stewart hopes to extend his loan spell at Charlton and remains open to the possibility of a permanent move.

The 22-year-old winger is due back at parent club Hull City in January but has little prospect of breaking into the Premier League side's first team.

He told the Hull Daily Mail: "If there was the chance of extending my loan here I'd look at doing that. I think a lot of the gaffer (Chris Powell) and I hope he feels the same way. But if Hull need some money, maybe they'll want to sell me.

"If there is a permanent deal then it will give me a bit of security rather than a summer of thinking 'where am I going to go next?'. But it's not just what I want. It's about what Charlton want or Hull want - finding a balance.

"If it was just down to someone to choose to go on loan, then I'd prefer to stay here."
