Still slams sloppy Daggers

Dagenham boss John Still was left frustrated after his side's six-game unbeaten run came to an end with a 3-2 loss at York on Saturday.

Despite watching Luke Wilkinson bag a brace in the League Two clash at Bootham Crescent, Still labelled the performance as the worst produced by his charges this term on the back of consecutive victories over Bradford and Chesterfield.

"I thought that was our worst performance of the season," he said. "Earlier in the season we played well but still managed to lose. I just thought it was a poor performance.

"We had no energy, I'm not sure why. We've done nothing different than we normally do. We lacked energy, we lacked defensive stability. Chris (Lewington) hasn't had an awful lot to do but we never reached the tempo we did in the previous games. I thought our organisation, which is usually spot on, was poor.

"When you come to the games you've got to come with all the ingredients and we've not come with any. Both first half goals were poor to concede. Two goals away from home and not playing well I'd be happy with that. I'm not happy with the three goals we've conceded though.

"We played poorly. Should I moan? No I shouldn't. Will I moan? Yes I will."
