Stokes handed Test debut
England handed a debut to Ben Stokes and recalled Monty Panesar for the second Ashes Test in Adelaide.
Trailing 1-0 in the series after a 381-run defeat in Brisbane, England have rebalanced their side with the addition of Durham's seam bowling all-rounder Stokes at No 6.
And he will get an immediate chance to show what he can do with the ball as Australia won the toss and chose to bat first.
Partly forced onto them by the departure from the tour of Jonathan Trott due to a stress-related illness, Stokes' inclusion has also allowed Panesar to come in as the second spinner in place of Chris Tremlett.
England captain Alastair Cook said: "It looks a very good wicket and can draw strength on what we did here last time. The toss is important but it's what you do in that first hour.
"It looks a very, very dry wicket. There hasn't been too much help for the seamers so far at these games on these drop-in wickets in Adelaide. We are very lucky to have Monty to come in."
Australia named an unchanged team.
