Surgery for Edinburgh's Parker
Edinburgh have suffered a blow with the news that Perry Parker has been ruled out for up to four months after undergoing surgery to cure a shoulder problem.
Parker, 26, is unlikely to play again in 2013, with Edinburgh currently rooted to the bottom of the RaboDirect PRO12 table with four points from their opening four games of the season.
A statement from the capital club confirmed: "Edinburgh Rugby lock Perry Parker is expected to be out until the new year following an operation on an ongoing shoulder complaint.
"The time to recover and rehabilitate from the surgery is expected to be around three to four months."
