Surrey finally off the mark

Surrey United recorded their first win of the BBL Championship season at the 18th attempt with a 94-87 success against the Manchester Giants.

Trailing 25-12 after the first quarter and 75-54 after three, United came back with 40 points in the fourth to break their duck for the season.

Brandon McGill top-scored with 25 points as Surrey moved two points ahead of the still-winless Birmingham Knights, though they still trail third-bottom Manchester by eight.
