Tansey banned for three games

Castleford full-back Jordan Tansey has been given a three-match ban for making deliberate physical contact with a referee.

The former Leeds player was charged by the Rugby Football League's match review panel after pushing Tom Roby in the back during the first half of the Tigers' 19-16 win over Hull on Sunday.

He was found guilty of the grade C offence when he appeared in front of a disciplinary hearing at Red Hall, Leeds, on Wednesday night and was fined 300 as well as being suspended for three games.

Meanwhile, Hull prop Micky Paea has lost his appeal against a two-match ban.

The suspension, imposed on Tuesday for a grade B dangerous tackle on Castleford winger Richard Owen in Sunday's game, was upheld by an RFL disciplinary appeals panel.
