Test for Sutil and Bianchi

Force India have confirmed that both Jules Bianchi and Adrian Sutil will drive the VJM06 at this week's Barcelona test.

Sutil, who drove for the team between 2007 and 2011, will handle an F1 car for the first time in almost 18 months on Thursday, before handing over driver duties on Friday to Bianchi, who finished second in the timesheets on the final day of the recent Jerez test.

The stage is thus apparently set for a direct shoot-out between the 23-year-old Bianchi and Sutil, seven years older at the age of 30, to secure the role of team-mate to Paul di Resta - who will run in both of the opening days at the Circuit de Catalunya - for the upcoming 2013 season.

In 2011, Sutil actually outscored Di Resta during the Scot's debut season by 42 points to 27, but was dropped in favour of Nico Hulkenberg, who has since departed to Sauber, amid off-circuit turmoil that culminated in the German being found guilty of grievous bodily harm last January after an incident in a Chinese nightclub and handed an 18-month suspended sentence.

Since then, Sutil has been without a drive in F1, but is now apparently within touching distance of a full return to the sport.
