Think set for Eclipse swansong

Aidan O'Brien has confirmed that So You Think will bid to win the Coral-Eclipse for the second successive season at Sandown on Saturday.

The former Australian star was a ready winner of the Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot last time and could be making his final appearance in Britain at the Esher track.

"The plan for So You Think at the moment is the Eclipse at Sandown next Saturday and that possibly could be his last race before going back to Australia," the trainer confirmed.

The master of Ballydoyle also had news on three of his Classic crop who were forced to miss weekend targets.

"Imperial Monarch (a non-runner in the Irish Derby) will run in the Grand Prix de Paris on July 14 at Longchamp," he added.

Of Was and Maybe, who were both taken out of Sunday's Pretty Polly Stakes on account of the ground, O'Brien said: "Was will run in the Darley Irish Oaks next. Maybe will run next in the Group One Falmouth Stakes (over a mile) at Newmarket later this month."
