Thompson stars in Warriors win

Klay Thompson poured in 32 points as the Golden State Warriors eased to a 108-95 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Thompson's career-best effort was backed by Jarrett Jack, who had 26 points and 12 assists, and David Lee, who added 20 points and 13 rebounds, as the Warriors made do without three of their starters.

Tristan Thompson paced the Cavs with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

The Warriors' Pacific Division rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers, also won as 24 points from Dwight Howard lifted them to a 111-106 victory over the New Orleans Hornets.

The Lakers won despite a relatively quiet night from Kobe Bryant, who contributed 14 points and 11 assists, while the Hornets' Eric Gordon led all scorers with 25 points.

Brandon Jennings scored 30 points as the Milwaukee Bucks overwhelmed the Detroit Pistons 117-90 and the Portland Trail Blazers overturned a 21-point third-quarter deficit to edge out the Dallas Mavericks 106-104.
