Thompson still leading the way

Defending champion Lexi Thompson holds a one-shot lead in the Navistar LPGA Classic after a second sub-70 round.

Thompson followed her opening-round 63 with a 69 on the Senator Course to head South Korea's Mi Jung Hur who added a 65 to a first-round 69 to lie on 11 under par in Georgia.

Thompson's fellow American Mindy Kim matched Hur's seven-under round of 65 to join her in second place on 11 under.

South Korean Hee Young Park lies tied fourth on 10 under along with Americans Lizette Salas and Dori Carter.

A four-way tie for seventh, on nine under, involves Americans Gerina Piller, Sydnee Michaels and Angela Stanford and Canadian Lorie Kane.

England's Karen Stupples dropped from tied fourth overnight to a share of 31st after adding a 74 to her opening round of 66.
