Three Kings at Cheltenham
Balthazar King (7-2f) was impressive when winning the Showcase Trophy at Cheltenham for the third year in succession.
Philip Hobbs' nine-year-old appears to come to hand at this time of the year and the front-runner secured his third renewal of the prize having won the race in 2011 and 2012.
Surprisingly for a race over three miles, the race was one where very few managed to get into it, as the winner galloped his rivals into submission and answered Richard Johnson's every call.
Tours Des Champs and Mister Grez both attempted to overhaul him at various stages of the contest but the redoubtable gelding managed to keep up his momentum as others made mistakes and he was not flattered by the winning margin of seven lengths.
