Mersey Tigers are still waiting for their first win of the BBL Championship, with Surrey Heat the latest team to beat the basement outfit.

The Heat, who have already confirmed a top-six placing, were convincing 99-71 victors with the help of a game-high 26 points from Travis Holmes.

The Tigers were trailing 29-4 at the end of the first quarter and never recovered despite the best efforts of Nathan Schall, who poured in 17 points.

Worcester Wolves were also comprehensive winners today, beating Cheshire Phoenix 121-90.

Kai Williams led the way with 29 points while Stan Ocitti added 25 for the Wolves.
