Toews helps Blackhawks to win

Jonathan Toews scored twice to earn the Chicago Blackhawks a 5-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in front of 62,921 at a snowy Soldier Field.

Toews also had an assist while Patrick Sharp, Kris Versteeg and Bryan Bickell got the other goals as the Blackhawks emerged victorious at the home of the Chicago Bears in the final game of the NHL Stadium Series.

James Neal got the reply of the Penguins, who lost their third straight.

Jaromir Jagr got his 700th NHL goal as the New Jersey Devils eased to a 6-1 win over the New York Islanders.

Jagr scored the Devils' second goal, becoming the seventh player to reach the milestone, as part of a four-goal second period outburst, with Adam Henrique, Ryane Clowe, Marek Zidlicky Mark Fayne and Eric Gelinas also on target for New Jersey.

Max Pacioretty scored his second goal in overtime to hand the Montreal Canadiens a 4-3 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Alex Galchenyuk and PK Subban also scored for Canadiens, while Andrei Markov contributed three assists.

Alex Ovechkin scored two goals, including his 800th NHL point, to spur the Washington Capitals to a 4-2 win over the Boston Bruins.

The Philadelphia Flyers were 4-2 winners over the New York Rangers, the Columbus Blue Jackets saw off the Florida Panthers 6-3 and the Los Angeles Kings overcame the Carolina Hurricanes 3-1.

There were also wins for the Winnipeg Jets, the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Calgary Flames.
